We love.... Adele

Adele's look has a vintage feel to it. It is old fashioned but so well executed. Whilst her makeup choices are controlled (she sticks to what she knows) they are never dull. Big hair, feline eyes, neutral lip colour are all synonymous with Adele’s image. But it is her luminous skin that has caught our eye. And on the front cover of her new album her milky flawless skin is on full show. This is a girl who looks after her skin, after all she did appear on the Rolling Stones cover completely makeup free (or so they say!). But there is no denying her great bone structure and rosy pout is a real reminder of her natural beauty.  Her...

We love... Fearne Cotton

Known for her rock-chic style, Fearne Cotton is ridiculously cool. Whether she is pregnant, just had a baby or heading to work in the early hours, Fearne makes styling look easy. Not many people can carry this combination. A navy top, long stripped silk skirt, ankle boots and heavy black coat. The different textures and colours requires minimum colour on the face. Nude lipstick and peachy blush give her a warm morning glow. Fearne has opted for some bright red nails to finish off this edgy look.  Opting to stay casual even on her wedding day, Fearne looked very much the "boho" bride. A simple tulle gown with a large silver sequin panel neckline adds detail and interest to the...

We love... Iman

Yves Saint Laurent once described Iman as “the dream woman” and we would have to agree. It is hard to believe Iman turned 60 this year, she looks as beautiful today as she did when she began her modelling career in the 1970’s. Whether it be a high fashion image or a paparazzi shot, Iman appears to be in complete control of her look. Her beautiful and flawless skin is often on full show. Her deep smokey eyes draw you into her face and the neutral peach lip gloss brings out the rich silky colour of her skin and hair. Stunning. The colour of Iman's blouse is spot on. The rich blue with the floral full skirt, high waist band...

We love... Queen Elizabeth II

Maybe not the first person who springs to mind as a fashion icon but the Queen’s familiar and recognisable style has done the nation proud during her 63 years and 7 month reign. Consistency in design, cut, block colours and her stable accessories of gloves, black handbag, pearls and the odd tiara have seen her rarely put a foot wrong. This is a lady who is not afraid to wear colour and we both admire and envy her ability to do so. From shocking blues, hot pinks, citrus limes and even sunshine yellow, no colour appears to be off limits. Day dresses with matching coats have become a stable and practical wear in recent years. In contrast to the bright...

We love... Audrey Hepburn

I love the simplicity of the 1950’s style dress which is cinched-in to show off that tiny waist. The light pink compliments her porcelain complexion perfectly. Hair and makeup is kept simple and understated. This is matched perfectly for her preference for Givenchy clothing, known for its elegance, simplicity and line.    Audrey was all about subtlety, choosing to opt for neutral colours on the cheeks and eyes. Her large almond shaped eyes were undeniably her greatest feature. Long lashes are the key here in ensuring the doe-eyed effect to its full. Black liquid liner is simply applied close to Audrey’s upper lashes and elegantly flicked out at the outer corners. Brows are kept thick, dark and angular making a...
